Except for the act of having sexual relations with a person of your own gender. THAT is something that, by definition, is a homosexual act and not a heterosexual one.

It's not Republicans. It's 1 GOP senator and 1 GOP representative who file the same bill year after year and it gets shot down by their own party.

Big nothing burger.

The OP seems to be easily influenced by the media.

Fortunately the U.S. Supreme Court disagrees with you. We don't live in a theocracy. Get over yourself.

Then get out and voice your opinion where it matters, to your states representatives.
And lets be honest, no one really cares who you marry.
Now if we could get the state and federal government out of the marriage BUSINESS, then most of these marriages wont even happen.

I would be down with eliminating civil marriage. But so long as there is such a thing, it must be available to all.

Why is there still so much hatred directed at the LGBT community? I’m married to my partner, and we’re happy! Can’t people just let this go?

It really isn't. And to the degree that that **** has slipped in, it shouldn't be. Law is about equitable cohabitation. Most of us don't need right codified into law to want to achieve it. The beauty of not having a punishing magical sky daddy is that one can look at right and wrong for themselves. It's awesome.

I agree with rebolder. Neither of us feels well now.

It is a reintroduction of a failed bill by a nut to score points. It will go nowhere.
