Despite the fact that over two-thirds of Americans accept same-sex marriage at this point, Republicans refuse to let it go. Some Trump supporters want to say that this is a settled issue so they can paint liberals as insane snowflakes for still worrying about it, but fight definitely isn't over and opposition to LGBTQ rights and same-sex marriage is still at the forefront of Republican politics.

One more example is that 'freedom' in Trump's America only applies to those who are white, heterosexual, and the right kind of Christian.

Just to get this out there I lean Republican and disagree with almost everything Democrat liberal but I don't support restricting people from loving and marrying who they want.

"..two-thirds.." I don't know how accurate that is but even so that leaves a lot of people who don't agree with it.

It's as accurate as the polls predicting that Hillary would win by a landslide.

People don't need to "agree" with other people's actions for them to be legal.

Republicans believe their rigid, narrow religious rules should be forced on all Americans and that there should be zero tolerance for any objections. They are the very definition of tyrants.

The government has no right to regulate contracts. Marriage is merely a contract entered into by two or more people.

The government needs to stay completely out of marriage.

Oh the drama of it all. "In Trump's America". Save it. It's one state. That is not the rest of America, nor does it have a thing to do with Trump. You could have put your TDS to the side and just asked people what they thought. Instead, you look unhinged by insisting that this is "In Trump's America".

First off, it's not "Trump's America", it's OUR America. If you don't like what TN is proposing, and you live in TN, remember this when it comes time to vote. It's not that difficult.

Second, I'm not saying that your "2/3rds" is wrong, but I'm really tired of people saying precise fractions or percentages or amounts (beyond "most" or "some") with nothing to back it up. Back it up with a link. You are probably correct, but I still want to see proof anytime "2/3rds" or "80%" or "half the people", comes out of someone's mouth...or hands since you're typing.
