"I've got a pen, and I've got a phone, to take action where Congress is deadlocked."
President Trump will hold a press conference in the Rose Garden in a few minutes, to announce his next step(s) in the border crisis. Why doesn't he simply say that, and then go ahead and start funding and building the Wall from money already allocated?
The last time a President said that, the media loved him for it, and went ga-ga over what a go-getter President he was, bravely outmaneuvering Congress to take action via Executive Orders.
Who needs a National Emergency?
Go for it, Pres. Trump. Fame, fortune, and universal accolades from the media await you.
There is precedent after all. And the courts never objected back then.

Congress IS NOT deadlocked, the majority of both houses passed a spending bill. Trump is just acting like the spoiled little brat he is because he didn't get his way. Too bad! Go pout 'til you're over it snowflake!
Mike Pence called it a "profound mistake" for a president to use executive powers to bypass Congress.
But but but.... he was a REPUBLICAN!!!
Check it out, folks, Here we have possibly the first time in all of human history, a P&OC liberal drone citing a Republican as a source we should all listen to, as a source of fact and truth.
In the meantime, liberals in this thread immediately started falling all over themselves, half of them claiming that Congress "passed a spending bill" as though that gave Trump what the nation needs, and the others bashing Trump for being upset that they DIDN'T give him what it needs.

You can't make this stuff up....
You haven't been around here much, have you? We've been using Republicans' words, uttered during the Obama Administration, against them for two years now. And no where is there a greater treasure trove of inanity than in Trump's own tweets while Obama was president. Remember this golden oldie?
