And if the GOP hadn’t self destructed by serving up 26 versions of upchuck in THEIR primaries then Trump might not have won...
They cut their own throat by diluting the option

By going after everything SDNY can use a sealed indictment that stops the clock on the statute of limitations. That would mean Trump could be tried the day he leaves office which would most likely be Jan 2021....

In that situation Trump could be pressured to step down in order to get a deal that saves him and his kids or at least him...

I am not saying it is a sure thing, but it is a path that the republicans can't block and because Trump's kids look like they are guilty too, Trump would have every reason to save them or accept they would be in jail while he is in office...
I wonder if that is one reason Cohen was allowed to speak as openly as he did
Admittedly HE has had his clock stopped
But if there are active investigations at SDNY or other venues like NY state where he might provide testimony then surely they might have wanted him to be little more circumspect
Or maybe the Dems just didn’t ask the right question

I would have wanted to know about contributions he took thought the RNC job he had as Assistant Campaign Chairman with Broidy and another guy
Cohen never played role with the RNC—he was a Democrat before Trump ran for heaven’s sake
So who/why was he given such an important job—
Because Trump wanted HIS bag man available for certain collections
And I am really disappointed that NONE of the Dems on that committee asked him any questions about campaign finance beyond the two women’s buyouts...

Minimiz your taxes by legally taking certain deductions you are entitled to, making certain investments that are qualified to reduce a tax profile, delaying income legally to defer liability
Those ARE legal methods

BUT not everyone who says their methods for reducing income is legal is telling the truth

I think Trump has someone at the IRS on his payroll maybe
Or it could be like Bernie Madoff
He was “investigated/audited” by the SEC several times over the years and never was revealed for the crook he was...because the SEC was intimidated and charmed by Madoff apparently—
They just were not willing to believe that someone who had such high value clients and such a sterling reputation could be a crook...
Just like the ratings agencies that told people mortgage indexed securities were great investments...

When the bottom fell out of the market, Madoff couldn’t spin any more plates—
His investors kept asking for more and more of their investments back because they were scared, and finally the con wasn’t going to hold water—
The water was going OUT vs IN which is what kept him afloat all those decades...

Trump keeps saying he is under audit—
But even if someone IS under audit there is no IRS rule that prevents them from releasing tax returns...

Don't be sad -- the country will be much better once Trump is gone.

Pelosi is one of the smartest minds in congress. That's why Trumpers are so afraid of her. Impeachment hearings and votes will take too long and there is no guarantee of conviction in the Senate at this point. If Mueller's report is so bad that impeachment must go forward and the Senate votes to convict and Trump is removed, it takes the GOP off the hook for this fiasco of an administration. They will try to pretend in 2020 that they were not really supportive of Trump. Trump is his own worst enemy and he gets worse as he gets cornered and deserted by friends. Pelosi knows his world will unravel over the next year even without impeachment and it benefits the Democrats to let his carcass rot in public. He is essentially a lame duck now and he will try to rule by tantrum...making things worse. If he chokes on a hamberder, I'd suspect foul play by the GOP. They know he needs to go away.

You sling insults because you lack the ability to discuss the topic.

It is what the losing side tends to do.

Two years ago you guys were still somewhat rational, but as you take loss after loss, see your hero's flip, plea and go to jail you resort to slander and mud slinging...

40 indictments, that is 40 more then you got on Hillary and her gang..

Off the top of my head, I've had reactions that were sort of 'in that same ballpark' to two other things Trump has said:

1. When he called Stormy Daniels 'Horseface' (Did it fly over his head that he was degrading himself in addition to his attempt to discredit Stormy Daniels ?)

2. When Cohen said Trump said 'You think I'm stupid, I wasn't going to Vietnam' (Only looking at whether he kept himself safe or not, likely thinking an overwhelming majority of people would think he was smart for orchestrating that , rather than looking upon him as a coward instead (the opposite of the decorated Mueller).

What a great guy.
On one of the episodes of 'Trump: The Dynasty' that just aired on A & E, Tim O'Brien said that he and Trump were in a limo heading to Trump's golf club in Bedminster and that he asked Trump what he dreams about/the content of his dreams and Trump said 'Always about f_____g'.
