Sadly, you are spot on.

Talking about 2020
But 2016 It was almost too close to call. The do no wrong people aren’t going to get him re-elected. It’s the growing middle that are leaving or will leave both extremes because they have lost their minds...they matter

Even if your point is true I would still argue there are plenty of party supporters that tolerate trump and a good number that didn’t want him on the ticket in 2016.

1. Don’t offend the voting base. (It was Hillary now it’s the media not all red, light red or middle of the road folks are stupid)
2. Steer clear of Socialist economic policies
3. Campaign the battleground states

They are all about power and control. They are absolute, out of control, control freaks. The election in 2016 decisively took that control away from them, and as you can see, they are positively apoplectic as a result. Elections in their view are expected to be a celebration of the Democrat left dominance, which is never to be interrupted or interfered with. Never.

Anyone who does actually interfere in an effective way must be marginalized, smeared, ruined and made powerless and irrelevant. Anyone who actually interrupts their domination of power, as George W. Bush did and as Donald Trump has now impertinently done again, must be positively destroyed, literally by any means necessary.

But it is not about the people that they are trying to harm and destroy. It is about their lust for power and control, not only over these offices, but ultimately over as much of every human beings' lives as they can determine a way to impose themselves on.

This is all very sad, and if you think about the implications of it, quite terrifying. Of course we have seen these motivations and mindsets run their course in places like the Stalin's Russia, Hitler's Germany, Mao's China, Castro's Cuba, Kim's North Korea and Chavez/Maduro's Venezuela. It is not a direction that any clear thinking, responsible human being really wants to go.

But the Democrat left - who want to impose their own current version of American Socialism on our country and our people - do not care if they are serving the people well or if the results are beneficial to our country. It is not about that. It is about them being in control and them being able to impose their will, period. That is the end, nothing else.
Lol...you wrote this post seriously.

As if "birthism" wasn't a thing, for years.

Where do you find such utter nonsense?

In that case leave it up to the voters in 2020.

With reports that the Mueller investigation may be about to finish I am curious what the ultimate goal is of those who hate Trump?

Impeachment? Or a weakened Trump who makes it to 2020?

Lets say next week the Mueller investigation concludes and there is bombshell information in the report that makes it impossible for the GOP to sweep it under the rug. Although Trump stays defiant at first the march to successful impeachment and confirmation is inevitable and Trump resigns. Trump could also stay in office and actually be impeached or pardon himself and let the courts sort it out.

or

The Mueller report is inconclusive regarding Trump and he remains in office and runs for re-election.

So Trump haters what do you want to have happen? Trump running in 2020 or his replacement Pence running in 2020? With either option there is the risk of Trump or Pence winning in 2020.

What is your preference? Am I missing some other possible outcome to all of this?
Trump hater here. I'd like him to lose in the 2020 election, or if he committed impeachable offenses, to be ousted for same. Pretty cut-and-dry. Like you though, I believe we should support him for things he does well (which are few and far between). For example, with respect to Venezuela, I'm with him so far.

Agreed. I dislike Trump as a person, but don't think he's done anything criminal. Dems are wasting time and effort with any plans of impeachment. They should be focusing on a reasonable candidate for 2020, the current possibilities are not very promising. Trump may very well be re-elected while Dems are left scratching their heads yet again.... Oh well, at least Trump is entertaining.

If Barack Obama had said that, every single Trump supporter on here would be seething and screaming for his impeachment.
Do you realize, according to the Constitution, if you TRULY feel Trump is a threat to the nations security...it is your DUTY to stand up and take action?

That is what 'patriotism' is, the old quote "the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots", is referring to this kind of scenario!

Sadly, all I see is the usual suspects with the same old tied TDS crap, with nothing factual to say. I suspect that if Trump resigned tomorrow and personally handed the keys to the White House to Hillary, you TDS-sufferers would be totally lost.

To answer the OP's question, the haters enjoy the hating. Continued hating is the only goal.

I want him gone for so many reasons -- the sooner the better. I suspect that the Mueller report will solidify opposition in the GOP and there will be challenges if he remains. It might also galvinize opposition to him in Congress and among voters. Impeachment is likely but not conviction until after 2020 if he is reelected and if the Democrats gain the Senate. Time is getting short. Resignation would be the best course of action -- he would "retire". Pence is a snake but too pathetic to invoke the 25th against an unstable Trump who might retaliate. Indictments, convictions and pardons will be a circus in the remaining 18 months.
