I am registered with a party, but am strongly considering switching to independent. I'm tired of politicians voting the party instead of the issues. Perhaps if we were all Independents, they would vote the issues instead!

Do you actually know any Democrats on a personal level? It is your sort of inflammatory rhetoric that is divisive. I am not a Republican for the most part, and lean pretty far to the left on a lot of social and political issues. However, most Republicans I know (perhaps you an exception) are good people with a different opinion on how to solve our national problems. I'm quite sick of the inane insults hurled around such as "Hitlery, Dummocrat, etc" (or similar taunts from the left). It sounds more like the playground taunts of children than actual constructive political debate.

Thanks for clearing that up, you clearly are the exception I referenced above.

You are stretching yourself a little too far Sunny. You and many others here are point guilty of violation of free speech. You would find it very difficult to prove in a court of law that any statements I have ever made on these posts is defamatory to a specific individual or certainly not vulgar in any way. I will remind you I am a Federal Judge. I know my rights. I would also remind you that here are new laws in place that monitor such violations.

I just noted that Independents have taken over the lead in the poll, second by repubs. Perhaps, "God is in his heaven and all is well".

That's exactly how I am. Registered Independent, Economically liberal, Socially conservative.

I have a fundamentally Christian worldview and tend to be a social conservative politically and socially. I will not vote for any pro-abortion candidates, regardless of political party, nor will I support candidates who support same sex marriage. This may limit eligible candidates but that is the way I see it. I will not vote for the lesser of two evils. If two major candidates are anathema to Christian values, I will forfeit my vote.
