The only industries I want to see socialized more are medical insurance and criminal justice. In regards to the former, I have gotten medical treatment when living in Australia and it was far better than here. I walked into the ER, waited 45 minutes and paid $100. In the US Id wait 6 hours and pay $1000 or more. Medicine in the US is far from free market capitalism by the way. Its a crony capitalist nightmare chock full of government regulations. I want a public buy in option for medicare at all buy in option. In reality, most other first world nations do have limited private insurance markets that allow them to skip lines. The fact that the US has such high infant mortality rates and lower life expectancies than other nations can at least partially be blamed on our non-functional medical system.

Privatized prisons are a human rights violation imo. They are a large part of the reason the US incarcerates much more people than every other country in the world. Having a legal business model that incentivizes incarceration and influences the law to do so is fundamentally evil.

As for non socialist goals Id also like to see the US close a lot of worthless foreign military bases in places like Japan and instead use the money to help assist laid off workers train for new careers, make college cheaper, and improve infastructure. Again I learned travelling abroad others dont have to pay student loans for decades and there isnt as much of a large underclass of poor people barely scraping by.

Not only that, but they fall into the realm of moral hazard as well. A public prison has incentive to house less inmates to keep costs down, while a private prison has incentive to house more inmates, since they get their money from the government, more prisoners=more $
