Impressive how fast the government there acts, totally ignoring the whining gun lobby

Good for Bernie! But I still won't be caucusing for him in 2020. He's too far to the left for me on economics. In another thread I once asked a poster who is a Bernie supporter (and a knowledgeable one) why Bernie seems to mix up socialism and 'social democracy.' The Danish PM once obliquely decried Bernie over this, denying that Denmark is socialist.

The posters reply:

This isn't me theorizing, this is from his past affiliations and work (he is very old of course) with socialist groups.

He decided around the time he became Mayor to promote social democratic policies to make himself a viable politician, but in terms of end goal he still sees himself as a socialist.

That is why he plays fast and loose with the two terms.

Would it be better said as natural law? I should be able to defend myself using the best tools available. This video is old (ancient in internet years) but it still applies.

And this video from the same series focuses on gun rights.

They don't have a Constitution that constrains an out of control government. Ours is doing an adequate job but the leash on .gov is stretching ever longer.

Reading your posts at times, besides some polls you have started at times, you do come across on some topics as someone who seeks facts, and doesn't just pick a side no matter what even though you lean left.

But on guns, you still need to come around, read my post #89 on this thread, think about it. Do you want to continue supporting a stance of banning guns based on propaganda, on misleading terms, and on false security?

They probably have a modern constitution to begin with, with modern checks and balances.

Now context matters all of a sudden?

How does the liberal logic work?
Ban guns. Guns kill.
Inanimate objects kill.

I'm simply applying their logic to a different inanimate object which is not expressly protected and guaranteed by the Constitution.
Now they don't like their logic applied to a different inanimate object?

Way to remain consistent in blaming and holding inanimate objects accountable for untimely deaths... whether intentional or not... end result is death... cars get a pass, guns don't? Oh it's a null and void argument because context now matters whether accidental or nefarious intent?

Didn't we already try this back in 1994? It had zero effect then and only cost Dems the control of the Congress.
