No pre-existing conditions protection, or any of the parts conservatives decided they want to keep because they make sense.

Quote:
The Trump administration on Monday told a federal appeals court that the whole Affordable Care Act must be abolished, setting for a clash between President Trump and 2020 Democratic candidates embracing “Medicare for All” system.
Justice Department attorneys filed a letter with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in New Orleans asking to effectively strike down the ACA in its entirety, agreeing with the landmark ruling made by a federal judge in Texas last year.
Quote:
The move to support efforts to strike down the ACA will undoubtedly pit Trump and Democratic presidential candidates, such as Sens. Bernie Sanders and Kamala Harris, who are increasingly embracing abolishing private insurers and support the creation of a single-payer system.
At the same time, the latest effort to completely invalidate the law may prove Congressional Democrats right, who warned during the midterm election last year that Republicans are trying to repeal the law, including the protections for people with pre-existing conditions, while Republicans denied such plans.

Let Trump abolish the ACA. That would assure his defeat in 2020. Do it Trump, I dare ya!

Coverage of pre-existing conditions isn't always covered. It's another Obama lie.

I developed a condition half-way through the year, and my insurance company has no specialists in-network. Because of Obamacare, the out-of-network deductible was twice the in-network, so I was on the hook for the first $13,000. And that was separate from the $6,500 in network deductible. IOW, Obama counts me as "insured" even though I had to cover $20,000 of medical expenses and $10,000 in premiums.

I had a much better plan before OBamacare, but Ocare destroyed the private individual market. I had been laying a third in premiums with an affordable $2000 in deductibles.

Trump is the one who said on the campaign trail that his health care plan would cover every single American and that the government was going to pay for it. And his lemmings totally ate it up.

Replace it yourself. Not my, or government or Trumps problem.

Given that the preexisting mandate violates every rule of actuarial science, basic logic and common sense, repealing it along wit the rest of the tyranny called ObamaCare would simply be a move towards a slightly more logical government.

If we had to choke down on government grabbing more power via the health care industry, the way the preexisting thing should have worked is people denied coverage from a private insurer could have qualified for Mediwelfare of some sort as insurer of last resort. That way, private companies can keep being profitable according to the rules of actuarial science, and the government could provide the safety net for those who couldn't get coverage under those proper rules of risk mitigation.

But no, government took it too far as they always do and mandated the economically and mathematically absurd preexisting mandate along with community based pricing instead of individual rates and relativities according to, once again, proper actuarial science.

So yeah, chuck the whole thing. Then, if it matters, maybe someone with sense can conjure up something that provides a safety net without the accompanying epic levels of tyranny.

And Obama's lemmings bought that they'd save in premiums and have better coverage. As Gruber said, Ocare passed because Americans are idiots.
