Faked Pelosi videos, slowed to make her appear drunk, spread across social media

One version, posted by the conservative Facebook page Politics WatchDog, had been viewed more than 2 million times by Thursday night, been shared more than 45,000 times, and garnered 23,000 comments with users calling her “drunk” and “a babbling mess.”
The video, which aired on the Fox Business Network show of Lou Dobbs, was a sequence of clips from a speech Pelosi gave, cut up and spliced together, in which the House Speaker stammers and slurs her words. Trump posted the video that same day it was reported that a doctored video of Pelosi, which was slowed down and altered to make it seem like she was impaired, went viral. Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani tweeted out a link to that doctored video, questioning Pelosi’s mental state, though he deleted the tweet shortly afterwards.

There was just no need. The unaltered vision stands on its own as a testament to her unfitness for public office. It was sad and disturbing vision. Her family need to tell her the truth.

This is clearly intended to be a knock on Pelosi’s competence and credibility. She keeps besting Trump, and since Trump can’t beat her without getting outside help, right-wing forces are swooping in to provide a meme about Pelosi that can run wild on social media. Remember when the National Enquirer continually fanned the conspiracy theory that Hillary Clinton was sickly? This is most likely the beginning of a conspiracy theory that Pelosi drinks. It’s interesting that they’re using slurred speech to go after her when Trump is constantly slurring his words, likely due to some form of mental deterioration.
You can bet she won't line up her staff and ask them one by one to testify she's not a lunatic.
