Biden was on video bragging that he got Ukraine to jettison the Special Prosecutor - which was the official US policy at the time - who, incidentally, was not investigating his son or his son's company. Do you have a point? Or are you expecting us to just forget Trump's attempt to get a foreign country to open a baseless criminal investigation against a political rival on this weak attempt at distraction?
If you want to defend Trump's behavior, you're going to have to do a heck of a lot better than your evidence-free speculation that Biden did something wrong several years ago.

They did not reach the same conclusion, but they provided details about Biden and his son's activities in the Ukraine that explain why people who are not completely in the tank for the Democrats and their leading presidential candidate - including Lindsay Graham, who at every point insisted that the investigation of President Trump not be interfered with and be allowed to proceed and be completed - conclude that this matter needs to be investigated.

Yep. With Trump, the Democrat left does not even think they should have to have a specific reason to investigate him. Just demand he turn over all his information and they will sift through it and until they either find something they think they can at least try to pursue, or until they can synthesize more 'Fake news' lies and then go after those flat out fabricated allegations.
Meanwhile, the evidence against Biden and his son is definitely strong enough to warrant an investigation. What they find, we will have to wait and see. But if they were to apply the same standards for starting an investigation against Trump that they now want to use to protect Biden, it goes without saying that there never would have been any investigation of any kind started against Trump.

There were no allegations of wrongdoing at all against the Trump campaign, but the DOJ tried to overturn the election just because they thought they could.
