Two years after leaving office, Joe Biden couldn’t resist the temptation last year to brag to an audience of foreign policy specialists about the time as vice president that he strong-armed Ukraine into firing its top prosecutor.
Quote:
“Well, son of a *****, he got fired. And they put in place someone who was solid at the time,” Biden told the Council on Foreign Relations
event, insisting that President Obama was in on the threat.

Quote:
But Ukrainian officials tell me there was one crucial piece of information that Biden must have known but didn’t mention to his audience: The prosecutor he got fired was leading a wide-ranging corruption probe into the natural gas firm Burisma Holdings that employed Biden’s younger son, Hunter, as a board member.

Got the confession.

Can't think of a single good reason to give Uncle Joe a pass.

Thumbs down Did Hunter Biden Get Rich On his Dad's Position as VP and set USA Policy towards China & Ukraine.

You know if the Democrats running against Biden don't take him apart over this and his son's role in the Ukraine, you know that Trump certainly will.

Not Just Ukraine; Biden May Have A Serious China Problem As Schweizer Exposes Hunter's $1bn Deal

Hunter Biden. Get's put in charge of the Ukraines Oil and Gas resources and inks a $1.5B deal with the Bank of China. Had relatively no experience with either.

Of course ignored, for a time, by the MSM.

If there is one thing the Ukraine needs it is to get rid of current political elite they have, every last one of them. The need to be hung from the Dneipre bridges. The country is in a shambles, it's been decaying since it got its independence. They got the country into a civil war which is still going on to this day. Crimeans defecting to Russia was the best thing they could've done. They never got anything from Kiev. The amount of money Russia is having to spend there just to get things running right is staggering. They're all but starting over.

Ukrainians need a real revolution. They need the Rada in flames and every single politician swinging from ropes. Americas "help" is just prolonging the situation in the country. Ukraine needs to be the bridge it is, not forced to choose sides.

Those two cells are smaller now.
Must have been the friction from rubbing them together. They're nearly worn out.

They do seem better able to communicate with his wallet than his tongue.

I am still waiting to hear more. I heard from somewhere that the Chinese didn't do as much as originally announced with these groups or reversed it. But I don't claim to have all the details precisely at this point.

Ukrainian politics are complicated. I dunno who the "good guys" are, if any.

The game involves making these countries or certain interests in them think you will help them, but often times the help delivered is less than expected. Perhaps to stay within the law. The tricks these folks use include previous actions before the official relationship / payment or just "doing nothing" can sometimes be very valuable, as valuable as doing something.

I know there is an Emoluments Clause in the Constitution and that some folks in Congress feel that Trump has violated it. May be harder to enforce on family members of President or Presidential candidates, but they should investigate where there is initial, significant evidence and prosecute anyone where justified. Some of the Trump kids are already under investigation for similar things.

And Demwits squawk about Ivanka getting copyrights in China?

It was Schweizer who first revealed that Hunter Biden’s private equity firm received a $1 billion investment within two weeks of accompanying his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, on an official trip there. The cash infusion came from a subsidiary of the Chinese government’s Bank of China and it wasn’t long before the investment increased to $1.5 billion.

Hunter Biden and his business partners created a group of LLCs to conduct their deals with Chinese government-owned companies. The largest LLC was their private equity firm, Rosemont Seneca Partners, which was founded in 2009. This firm was controlled by Hunter Biden, long-time business partner Devon Archer and, lo and behold, Chris Heinz, who happens to be the stepson of former Secretary of State and Senator, John Kerry.

Rosemont also partnered with the Thornton Group, a consulting company run by James Bulger, who was named after his uncle, the notorious mob hitman James “Whitey” Bulger.

Birds of a feather flock together?

Default Lindsey Graham Calls On The DOJ To Investigate Joe Biden's Connections To Ukraine

Apparently nobody has looked at this yet. After the appoinment of a special counsel targeted to a significant degree at President Trump, surely these accusations against Democrats influenceing the 2016 election through the Ukraine should now be examined.

Quote:
Lindsey Graham Calls On The DOJ To Investigate Joe Biden's Connections To Ukraine

"You are calling for a probe, by the DOJ, into all things Ukraine," Fox News' Maria Bartiromo said during an interview.

"Yeah, I want the Department of Justice to appoint someone to look at the role Ukraine played, if any, in the 2016 elections," Graham explained. "There are a lot of allegations out there about Ukraine may have fed information to the Democrats [and the] Department of Justice against Trump campaign managers and others. And I think it's fair after what the Trumps are going through regarding Russia, that somebody look at the connection with the Bidens while the vice president was a sitting vice president, the Biden connection to the Ukraine through its son."

"Now you can't have it one way and look at one family and not the other. And I don't trust the media to do this and I'm hoping somebody that the Department of Justice will appoint an investigator to look at all things Ukraine, like we looked at all things Russia," Graham said.
Unless there are people here who believe that Democrat elites should be above the law, that is.
