Why are you focused on only that age group? Isn't preventing any unwanted pregnancy (and consequently abortion) better than preventing none? Psssst...that age group starts out younger.

Do you not want to prevent unwanted pregnancies- or is it only abortions you want to prevent? You're more satisfied when people are forced to "lie in the bed they made" -even when that results in unwanted children, at high risk for abuse, poverty neglect and continuing the cycle when they become sexually active themselves.

Because that's worked so well.

I think it's important to understand that the push for sex ed only targets teens, when the group getting the most abortions is adult women. So maybe targeting teens isn't the be-all, end-all of sex ed? I don't know.

Fewer unintended pregnancies will most likely mean fewer abortions. I agree. 40% unintended pregnancies are aborted, and 50% of those who became pregnant through rape have abortions.

There are posters that don't care if the number of abortions are reduced. They're perfectly fine with abortion.

Do you want to reduce the number of abortions?

Of course.

Of course, as it will mean fewer abortions. I've never said any differently.

Asking that is like asking if people want to reduce gun violence. Of course they do, but how to do that is the real question and not one people can agree on.

Everyone wants to reduce the number of abortions. I’d be thrilled if the number was zero assuming it was accomplished by more effective birth control and birth control being easily available (or free) to everyone and everyone using it and it never failing. That would be GREAT!

But, if the path to reducing abortion is banning it and forcing women to give birth, then no, I’m not for that all.

We have told you.

Universal healthcare
Paid maternity leave
Increased protections for pregnant women and mothers in workplace
Subsidized childcare
Expanded step-down welfare

What are you doing to advance these efforts?

Easier BC access, like more Planned Parenthood Clinics not less, would be a start. They educate and provide BC at a minimal price.

Requiring insurance companies to cover the cost of prescriptions for BC just like they cover other prescriptions would help.

But oh wait.......pro-lifers don't like either one of those ideas, do they?

Hypocrisy at its finest.

I think most people don't believe abortion should be a substitute for birth control. Prevention should take precedence over a medical procedure after the fact. It seems pretty straightforward. More prevention, less abortion. Win-win.
