Astounding that you don't get it.

The connection to the above statement and Marie Antoinette is the disconnect between the haves an have nots.

To say a country is not in decline or on the verge of a fracture because you have a VERY small percentage of your population that are doing obscenely well, couldn't be more " Marie Antoinette ".

To be so blinded because of status and not understanding the rumblings of those who are falling further and further behind, is the cause of many a revolution.

You guys have an illegal immigration problems because you border a much poorer country, that is connected to other poor countries, some of them unstable.

It became your normal, since Americans hired these illegals and didn't do anything about it for years, and years.

Europe has MILLIONS of migrants fleeing wars. They end up in Europe because of geography, just like your illegals. The US is a better place than where they came from, but that doesn't' make the US the BEST place to be.

Why do you think the Russians never put a man on the moon? I find it odd and interesting.

The United States is going to be the first to put a human on mars.

That wasn't his or my point. The point was to correct the statement " first on the moon ".

No one is arguing that the US was the first to put a human on the moon.

You guys aren't getting it. Accomplishments are not it, or at least by themselves aren't it. The USSR was the first to put a man in space? Were they exceptional? Would you want to emulate them, unless you were an American Progressive? No.

It is about the concept, and supporting, and guaranteeing people's NATURAL RIGHTS as human beings that is exceptional.

I have never witnessed such shallowness in society as I have today.

.

Unlike other nations, our most treasured documents drawn up by politicians, limited the power they exercised.
