Like I said, it all goes back to religion. Religion in politics is what has divided this country.
Every country has their political problems, what's the problem in the USA?
The right wing. These are now the ones who would have been the loyalists during the Revolutionary War. They prefer a system of serfs and lords and nepotism. The believe in an aristocracy and authoritarian to tell them what and how to think. They are too intellectually challenged to understand that The Constitution is a body of REGULATIONS. And without regulations the entities will take advantage and lie and cheat and steal for the bottom line but the right is very willing to support such corruption and vote against their own best interests even if it means hurting themselves and their kids. The base will support the crooks who will undermine their education, healthcare and right to clean air, water and soil. They are preventing the nation from living up to its fill potential and some are crazy enough to believe the USA should be a theocracy.
The right wing has offered nothing new for over forty years. and their leaders have started wars, stolen from and wrecked the economy. They still believe that voodoo trickle down economics will rain down on them after almost a half a century of failure. They idolize the very ones cheating them and are ignorant enough to vote for a criminal like Trump who has ripped off folks just like them throughout his entire adult life. They abhor science and are holding back actual progress. They are gullible enough to allow politicians using wedge issues to trick them into ignoring important issues which actually affect them. They fall for the BS line of a "great economy" when we have a faction called the working poor and many Americans are one illness away from bankruptcy and ruin. They believe the billionaires deserve the money they funnel to themselves while folks that work for them cannot afford to live on one salary or realize what used to be The American Dream. You cannot have such financial inequality and still maintain a democracy but the right wing actually despises democracy as they have shown time and time again.
The ideologies of Save The Fetus/Screw The Child and Privatize The Profits/Socialize The Losses
The fact that an antiquated Electoral College allows the loser and least popular to win an election.

Every country has their political problems, what's the problem in the USA?
Media corporations choose our winners and losers based on the amount of money the eventual winners will dump back into the media corporations in advertising dollars. It's a multi-billion dollar business model that keeps those with the deepest pockets in power. It also keeps the share-holders of the media companies very happy as they continue to reap the profits off of picking winners and losers.

Nobody outside the USA really cares about the US and also there are no plans for a 'Jonesian' one world government, that's just laughable.
