You would think they would jump at the chance to be part of the greatest country on earth. Of course, they would lose their health insurance, quality education, old age security. But they could all carry AKs and shoot each other.
This is classic Trump deflection. The economy is teetering on the edge of recession and he is saying, quick look over there. And if he did buy it, first thing he would do is disallow any scientists to go there since they keep coming up with more grim news of climate change from the melting Greenland glacier.

From all the "outrage" someone would think that Trump had ordered that it be taken by force.

The most obnoxious among all Arab sheiks is crazy about magnolias. Crazy, I'm telling ya. So he's floating this idea of buying Mississippi and now it's all over the internets. And everybody else from his emirate is speculating, also on Twitter and forums - what are we gonna do with Listener and other 3m Mississippians. Move them to Missouri where they'll be happier, bcs fewer double letters, or just keep them to water magnolias and stuff.

So our infrastructure is crumbling, we're headed into an inflationary recession, we have mass shootings every week and Trump wants to buy a country that is not for sale.
Either he needs to go back to real estate and leave the governing to the qualified, or we need to think about the 25th Amendment. This guy is not playing with a full deck.

I have no problem with this as long as it meets legal requirements.
Greenland is a beautiful place, but I was thinking it would be nice for us to buy some worthless tract of land somewhere, say western Canada before the mountains begin. We can give that area special status, and anyone who lives there a special passport that doesn't permit them to freely move into the USA. And then if we get refugee applicants, we just put them put there until the process finishes.
