This is never considered, but one of the biggest issues I think there is in a court of law is that juries are persuaded based on how attractive the attorneys are.

This jury had nine women sitting on it. Just as I figured, when I googled Mike Manley, the defense attorney, I knew what happened.

One of his arguments was that bringing her back into the room so she could get dressed was the act of a gentleman. Gag me.

A little bit of charm and good looks on the part of his attorney is why he was acquitted. I wish prosecutors would take this into consideration during jury selection, but they seem to ignore it. 9 male and 3 female jurors - or a lawyer whose looks are 3/10 and I think the decision goes another way.

If the prosecutor were an attractive woman, would you advocate reducing the number of men on the jury?

No because then women jurors would be jealous of the attractive female prosecutor's looks and vote to acquit the rapist.

Women are not men. Men are objective, women are not.

Yes, it can work both ways.

Was kidnapping one of the charges though? Im just saying, the jury may have only been deliberating whether he was guilty of sexual assault or rape, its possible kidnapping charge was not included.

I don’t know but the fact that she was naked and calling for help while he forcibly brought her back to the hotel room certainly alludes to sex assault.

I guess women should avoid all men then because there is no way to know who is a rapist and who is not.

I can't believe no one has challenged that statement.

Have you ever seen pretty female beggars? They go straight for the men, who open their wallets. They don't even bother approaching the women.
