I notice you seem to hate free markets which was my point about leftists.
McCain supported raising taxes....that doesn't sound like conservatism to me.
Raising taxes to balance the books is extremely conservative.
It sounds like you equate irresponsible behavior with "conservatism" - and I would not argue that the modern variety is into that. But that's not the way things should be.

Raising taxes to balance the bloated budget caused by overspending is not conservative.
You are a socialist trying to hijack the meaning of conservative.
Liberal protesters are notorious for leaving a bunch of litter after their protests yet you claim liberals are responsible.
LIberals aren't even reponsible enough to take care of a baby if they get pregnant when it wasn't planned.
Here is a liberal playing their favorite game of make any crazy allegation.
the kochs are responsible for pollution.
Of course. This is without a doubt. Their business is in fossil fuels and resources extraction and refining. But that's not a problem in itself. We users (of the products) are as much responsible as an enlightened company would be.
BUT, the Kochs have spent many decades inserting themselves into every level of government and running the largest lobbying shop in DC....for one reason only. To be able to pollute more...and at lower cost.
This isn't something I should have to tell to you or prove to you. Read. Research....the only way you could hold such an opinion would be not to know what they have done.....
"Bloomberg reports that from 1999 to 2003, Koch Industries was assessed "more than $400 million in fines, penalties and judgments""
FROM POLLUTING....above and beyond the call of duty....
"In March 1999, Koch Petroleum Group acknowledged that it had negligently discharged hundreds of thousands of gallons of aviation fuel into wetlands from its refinery in Rosemount, Minnesota, and that it had illegally dumped a million gallons of high-ammonia wastewater onto the ground and into the Mississippi River."
Apparently they know about how they break laws and pollute than you do. Read up.
"Maher is a comedian and entertainer.....", but right leaning comedians and entertainers being attacked for what they say is OK!
The usual double standard exposed by the left! Sean Spicer is a prime example.
There are very few "right leaning" comedians or entertainers, but yes, I agree there is a HUGE double standard. I don't watch Maher, Colbert, Kimmel, etc. as I just don't find them entertaining in the least.
the same people who support the murder of babies in the womb and sometimes post-birth are the same people demonizing the Kochs.
you are the virtuous among us. lol
When backed into a corner, always put out the sad and tired talking points...meanwhile, many "conservatives" right here on these threads are lamenting that the wrong people are having too many babies.
Let's get back to the lives and DNA the Kochs are messing up, eh? Try to focus.

Plenty of cons watched Colbert and didn't know he was playing a Conservative.
It's hard to imagine that many watchers of the Daily Show, Colbert and the late night shows hosted by comedians are not Republicans...but if you say so!
Maybe they just watch reruns of Larry the Cable Guy or Dennis Miller? It is true that Dennis Miller is not funny....but what the heck? He figured out how to get paid for going on Fox and stuff.
