Don't be silly. There was no threat of war with Turkey until the shooting started because Trump had a tweet moment in the biffy.

Wait 'til you find out what it cost you to get the Turks to agree to this.

They were in the driver's seat with Russia grinning in the background.

You can bet the farm you ain't gonna like what it cost you to get them to even agree to a meeting with Pence/Pompeo; much less what it has cost you getting them to compromise.

My first thought reading the Tweet from the Turkish official, too. "We got everything we wanted."

I thought good negotiations were when both sides left unhappy? That must not be in The Art of the Deal, eh?

Maybe talk a little more before blowing it all up.

Trump's learning on the job. Good for him -- at least he's trying to fix his mistake.

Turkey did comment by saying it is not a cease fire.

You mean the trade imbalance, and intellectual property theft that the Chinese has been engaged in for over 4 decade's, that every past administration and politician of both parties has said we desperately need to do something about, but never did because they were spineless cowards.
The one that Trump has finally taken on.
Trump is doing the things that needs to be done unlike all the cowards and warmongers before him.

Nothing like lighting something on fire, putting out the flame, and declaring yourself a genius for not allowing the whole the to turn to ash.

I know what it costs Turkey and so does Turkey -- that's why they agreed.
I "get" that many have not figured out yet that Donald Trump "fights wars" with economic weapons instead of Guns and Troops .... some might prefer to see dead bodies of US Soldiers, I'm not one of them. I suspect that I'm not alone in that.

None of this is over - but cards are on the table and they will have time to work it all out.
Right this minute -- no more dead bodies.

What a comical thread topic title. Trump and Pence CREATED the crisis by green lighting the invasion after a call with Turkey. No cease fire should ever have been needed.

No, I mean destroying our farmers' markets on an ill-thought out policy based on the stupidity of a president who declared that "trade wars are easy to win." And then said stupid president found out they aren't, but only AFTER he destroyed our farmers' markets and gave away billions upon billions of our taxpayer money to cover his stupidity.

Just wait until the next time the U.S. needs the backing of an ally somewhere in the world and they decline to help because they don't trust us. MAGA, indeed.
