marriage is covenant between a man and a woman that become one flesh. The marriage of homosexuals and lesbians, men with men and women with women, is an abomination against God and a perversion against nature.
That covenant between one man and one woman also said no divorce. How's that working out?
The BIBLE that tells us homosexuality is wrong also warns against blending fiber and eating shellfish.
And in all that Lott stuff about Sodam and Gomorrah when the horny men came knocking on his door for the new guys in town, he offered up his daughters. IMO, he could have told them to get lost but he didn't want to offend them. The problem was not homosexuality. It was the absence of integrity anywhere.
My .02 says the lack of integrity continues to be the big problem.
I do not care what anybody thinks or does in their church as long as they don't hurt anybody. But all American citizens have the exact same civil rights. Denying a civil marriage to gays and lesbians violates their civil rights. Speaking of lacking in integrity. Is that OK with you? Your church does not approve so discrimination is OK.

Not religious here , anymore, nor gay but I was raised Catholic and from what I can remember isn't God supposed to look down on all of us the same ? Guess that got ****ed up in the translation , huh ?

Marriage is not a covenant before the sky friend of your choice. It is, at its heart, a business transaction. It is a contract to ensure passage of property, title and assets between generations, and to hopefully build that asset base and legitimize future heirs to those assets.

I'd rather see gay households than STD-spreading promiscuity. It's healthier for the community as a whole.

To be honest, as far as optics go, a gay president and his husband is way down on the scenarios I would want to see in the white house. At the end of the day, however, it all comes down to policies and representing things important to me. Frankly, I am the type of person who turns the channel to different programming when I see two men kissing or being affectionate on TV. I don't think I will ever be comfortable seeing that. I don't want to see that. Miss me with that.

I don't know who these gay groups are....or what they think they are promoting with some freak show
...but for the most part...they are not promoting gay....they are promoting freaks
All of the gay people I know...are just perfectly normal people...that chooses to live with someone the same sex...
..and every one of them are as normal as it gets
They have normalized their situation MUCH faster then one would belive... and thank MY GOD that it happened.
Now they have somewhat resembling protections in the laws...
