Canada bashing? What do you call Canada's leader mocking, ridiculing and laughing at the president of the USA just days before? Trudeau deserves to be laughed at and ridiculed, because he started it, yet he has nothing going on in Canada worth bragging about. He shouldn't be laughing at Trump. He should be taking notes, so he can make improvements and bring good economic results to the people of his nation.

Are the unemployment statistics in both countries produced on the same basis? It's often the case that there is hidden unemployment, either people who have given up looking for jobs, or those who are employed a few hours a week but nowhere near enough to make a proper living.
Maybe looking at the employment rate of working age people rather than just the official unemployment rate might add to the picture.
