Tariffs on Canadian lumber put us back in contention, and 3 mills have re-opened locally with some now running 2-3 shifts. The only shut down was a smaller hardwood mill/log buyer that was exporting saw logs and some cut hardwoods to China, they became a victim of China's retaliatory tariffs.
I thought taking money from the populace and redistributing it to a select few was considered "socialism" in Trumpist circles.

Whose money is being taken? It is the left that promotes taxes/theft, including regressive taxes, to steal from the productive to give to who knows who. Tariffs are a form of tax that is more fair, and have been utilized in America since just after it became a nation. Nobody forces anyone to pay the tariff. They can buy the American version, the imported version + the tax, or skip the purchase altogether. Tariffs truly are as American as apple pie, so if you don't like it, America is just not for you. Sorry.

By the way, Obama did place a 500% tariff on Chinese steel before he left office. Tariffs have been used by republicans and democrats for a very long time, although they have been reduced substantially over the past 20-30 years, much to the detriment of our productive manufacturing base, among other industries. Trying to make it a partisan issue is silly because it is anything but, as history has clearly demonstrated.

No he is not. Stop being so petty. He's gotten way more action from beautiful women than any leftist could possibly imagine. You would have fit in well with the gossip girls at the lame NATO convention though. You could trade makeup secrets with the soyboi wonders. Doesn't sound like any party I or Trump, or anyone with any testosterone would want to waste time at though.

Hm. So you argue that taxation is theft, tariffs are taxes, yet tariffs are not theft but instead American as apple pie. Don't hurt yourself now.

I'm not being petty at all. I speak the truth. Of course, my post will likely be deleted.

Tariffs are voluntary. Nobody holds a gun to your head and forces you to buy the product. Taxes are not optional. If you do not pay your taxes, you can go to prison. Go stiff the IRS and see what happens.

Like I said, if you do not like tariffs, America is not for you. They've been around since the very early 1800's, long before income tax was created to rob you of your value added activities and productive worth.

Yes you are being petty, and you wouldn't know the truth if it kicked you in the rear end. It's obvious you are running out of meaningful things to say to discredit the president. So now you are reverting back to your childhood school girl bully ways, by attacking his physical appearance. Fair enough, but Trump obviously has far more testosterone than beta male wimp Trudeau. Obviously, testosterone does good for an economy, while beta male wimps are a natural job repellent.

I'll take the less attractive, more masculine leader who stands up for himself and his people, not the Mr Dress-up drama teacher who snickers and laughs while his nation bleeds jobs and economic prosperity.

While Trudeau was busy mocking and laughing at Trump (who helped the USA add over 250Ks job in November) his nation's economy was busy losing 70,000 jobs a month. That's quite a high number of jobs lost, when you consider the fact that Canada only has about 35 million citizens, vs the USA which has about 350 million.

Instead of mocking Trump, maybe Trudeau should be taking notes and advice from a REAL leader... Or not, what do I care. Canada is not my problem, it's Trudeau's, and he will have to answer to his people about this if these job losses continue. Maybe he can play dress-up to cheer his people up, one of the few things he admittedly does better than Trump.

Looks like Canada is getting exactly what they voted for, and Americans are getting exactly what we voted for. Let this be a lesson on we America is so hesitant to follow the world down the socialist rabbit hole.
I tell ya, these liberal style, far left folks like Trudeau are all about style--but the results-oriented substance is really lacking. This is solid proof.

Maybe Trudeau is too busy planning another black tie (or black face LOL) event?

I've had plenty to say about Trump. Just having a little fun on this thread. It's very sweet how you guys try to defend Trump's manhood. LOL.

Jobs numbers and GDP over the next few months will be telling, hopefully we won’t take a big hit from international slow down.
We’re definitely due for a slowdown. What remains to be seen is exactly when and how slow. The economy is cyclical. Trump in office has been a net positive, economically - particularly with the relaxation of regulations in his first year, but it won’t last forever.

You have plenty to say, and most of it is just opinion backed by nothing. Nobody has to defend Trump's manhood. Just look at him vs the makeup wearing betas that descended upon the NATO convention. Their countries are consumed by social strife, riots, and economic malaise, and their response is to laugh and crack jokes at the more successful, and in many cases, more well liked Trump.

It's obvious who is jealous, and it isn't Trump. There is nothing going on in Europe and Canada to be jealous about. The world economy is going down the toilet, while America is skillfully navigating these choppy waters with a brilliant crew and well seasoned captain of business. The drama teacher needs to take notes here of what's going on, and integrate some of Trump's strategies into managing the Canadian economy, or the suffering will likely get worse.
