Nope. It won't.

History will remember the idiotic Democrats pulling a sham because that is what it is. It will be a footnote in history. Kinda like Obama's only accomplishment in being the first non completely White man to be elected to office.

Is this a distinction that the average person is going to understand or care about?

Nope, it couldn't wait for him to be called out on his misdeeds. That was the hurry, to stop him before he did it again. The articles would be at the Senate right now if Pelosi felt McConnell would have a fair trial. But she doesn't, so we'll see what happens.

Pelosi has not completed it, so there's no impeachment.

Only the idiotic Democrats could screw up something so important.

Ah....no!

Article I, Section 2, Clause 5 provides:

The House of Representatives ... shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.

So then you admit this was not a real impeachment, merely a political stunt? Fair enough.

It will be known as an impeachment about nothing leading to Trump's massive 2020 landslide.

It was Democrats pooping over the Constitution because the media demanded them do it. I'm not convinced yet that little adam the Bull-Shifter wasn't a Trump plant to ensure his re-election.
