Pressing a pro American democracy to invent a false charge against his upcoming election opponent isn't okay. Using our national security funds to do it should be impeachable. But he gambled it was the perfect crime knowing the GOP would accept this behavior.

The democrats have two problems.

One, they completely failed to prove their allegations. Their demand for more witnesses, and evidence confirms their failure to prove their allegations.

Two, even if they could prove their allegations in their articles of impeachment, the articles fail to meet the requirements for impeachment under the constitution.

Well it appears that there are some republicans interested in witnesses like Bolton, so much for the quick vote. Trump claimed he wanted witnesses, I think he was lying but he got exactly what he asked for.

We don't know if there will be witnesses, or not.

If there is, it's likely that there will be witnesses called that the dems don't want, like the Bidens, the whistle blower, possibly Schiff, or some of his staffers.

At this point, what Bolton is alleged to be saying in his book is not a big deal, and would not constitute an impeachable offense.

The only real concerns will be wading through the Executive Privilege issues.

One thing we know is that if there are witnesses then Bolton will certainly be the first, he is the one that drove the republican retreat from their policy of no witnesses.

The Whistle Blower, the Biden's are just a distraction from the issue, Mulvaney and Bolton are key.

You do like first hand information don't you, heard it over and over, here's your chance.

Poor Dems, they didn't do their job and get court ordered subpeonas. Who will be left holding the bag for the Dems? Pelosi ? Schiiff? all the House Democrats?

Going to be some sad faces around here soon.
So this should be a real opportunity to get first hand witnesses, you want the truth of course.

You didn't read my post.

We don't even know if there will be witnesses. In fact, Lindsey Graham just said he is increasingly confident that the trial will be over this week.

I don't know if that will happen, or not, but even if there are witnesses, it isn't going to be just who the democrats want.

Even if Bolton were to testify what is alleged, it doesn't change anything, there is still no impeachable offense. A quid pro quo is perfectly legal, and the dems have presented absolutely no evidence of wrongdoing by the president.

This is what we have been telling you from the beginning, there simply is no impeachable offense even alleged in the articles.

We'll have to wait to see what happens in the next couple of days, because the democrats are surely planning another "bombshell" between now, and Friday, just like the Kavanaugh hearings.

Lindsey Graham is not the voice of reason. According to Bolton’s manuscript this will be very damaging, Already changed their minds to allow witnesses.
