How can two midwestern cities be so much different when it comes to crime. Lincoln didn't have a homicide until May of 2019 and St. Louis had 5 already by 11am on New Years Morning
Wow, St. Louis had 5 homicides by 11am on New Years Day already.
Lincoln, Nebraska which is similar population had 5 of all of last year.
Metro Provo-Orem, Utah had a total of 5 homicides in 2018 with a population that is more than double that of St. Louis
Wonder why St. Louis has all these problems when Lincoln, Nebraska and Provo-Orem metro don't have them.
Your premise is what we call fake news. St Louis has a population of over 2.8 million, while Lincoln has 284,000, while Provo is 526,000. Stop comparing apples to oranges.

St. Louis, the city proper, has a population of 319,000. The Greater St. Louis Area has a population of 2.8 million.
The Lincoln, NE metro population, however, is about 334,000. Provo, UT's population is about 112,000, with the metro population being about 526,000.

Something like 40% of the poor and something like 90% of the poorest areas in Greater Saint Louis are in the city limits... Including city limits without the surrounding areas is akin to arguing the City of London is the richest city in the world, while being the most crime ridden in London/UK. It breaks down because your essentially using the fact that the City of London which is akin to if a Downtown was it's own city has 10 times the daily population in the area during the day hence it can end up being violent/crime ridden and really rich at the same time. Isolating Saint Louis is the same thing. The daytime population of Saint Louis swells/ has potential to swell much more than Lincoln or Provo-Orem even, and much of Saint Louis's wealthiest areas are just outside of the city but instrumentally connected to the city for the economy. Isolating the city is akin to cutting off the limbs of a human, the head and the torso still remain but it isn't functional on paper without the 2.3 million people.
Using the same logic as thread's like this. If violent, poverty filled Saint Louis is a ****hole then how come it has like 5 times the size of an economy as Provo-Orem and even more than Lincoln, it's oxymoron. It's downright moronic to continually do this.

He recently started another thread that compared Bismarck N.D. and Lincoln NE (or similar cities) to Los Angeles county. He was literally comparing a population of 200,000 people to 10.2 million people.
I decided to check the news on Atlanta,GA. No murders on New Years Day. But St. Louis has 5. Atlanta has more people and growing.
I think the OP really want to say is black city= bad, white city=good.
Or this is another subliminal Democratic/liberal city=bad.
