So what are the local convenience store and general store owners saying about the state jacking up minimum wage recently?? Well, among other effects, they will have to stop making their own sandwiches, salads, soups, baked goods, etc. that they sell. It’s much more expensive to pay the labor costs involved in making your own, versus buying pre-made crap from a wholesaler. So, hello crap that was made two weeks ago, 1,000 miles away. Goodbye homemade, fresh stuff.
Thanks a lot, liberals. What’s that?? You’ve never heard of “unintended consequences”??...
Lol! Someone is complaining that they can't purchase a pre-made sandwich. You think that sandwich at the convenient store is fresh?
You want fresh food? Learn how to make a sandwich yourself. You may find it difficult, but it's not rocket science.
I'm no fan of the minimum wage increases -- or even minimum wage overall. But complaining about something this petty demonstrates the types of snowflakes out there in today's society.

Dude, spare me. I’m talking about little places that are half c-store, half deli. There are tons of them around where I live. People like me who work our *ss off sometimes like to pop in and grab a freshly-made lunch when we have five minutes. And when you can watch them make the stuff with your own eyes, yeah.....that’s a pretty good indication that it’s fresh. Clown.
Maybe you never buy food....whatever.
And the workers who were making that stuff.... wonder what happens to THEM?....hhhmmm....

Or you could look at it from a different perspective. Now a single mom who had to feed her kids sugary cereal for breakfast if she could feed them at all can now afford more nutritious fare for her growing kids.

You're the first person I've seen sign their own post with their name. Clown, fresh food is readily available. You need to step out of the convenience store. If you can't afford the five minutes it takes to make your own sandwich, you aren't working as hard as you claim. There's not going to be a shortage of fresh food.
Bought a bunch of bananas, gallon of milk, dozen eggs, and loaf of bread last week at a convenience store. Total cost = $6.31.
