Most intelligent people want to live in a country minus cultists who support criminality and over-the-top corruption in their government. Not too much to ask.

So there's that.
This sounds like some rightwing talking point. There may well be valid reasons not to proceed with a specific disbursement - at which point the Executive Branch then notifies Congress. The GAO provided Trump's Administration with an opportunity to now document its failure to proceed - and got nothing from them.

More:
"Furthermore, at the time OMB issued the first apportionment footnote withholding the USAI funds, DOD had already produced a plan for expending the funds. See DOD Certification, at 4–14. DOD had decided on the items it planned to purchase and had provided this information to Congress on May 23, 2019. Id. Program execution was therefore well underway when OMB issued the apportionment footnotes. As a result, we cannot accept OMB’s assertion that its actions are programmatic."

Trump's hand clearly was in (blocking) the cookie jar: No cookie for YOU today.

The problem is not that Trump stole the candy bar but that he did not give it to whom he was supposed to.

Illegality is in the eye of the beholder, like when Democrats are not prosecuted for trying to undermine this nation's elections with paid-for disinformation from the Kremlin?

What is illegal and not illegal, especially these days, is hardly for anyone but a court to decide. And even that's getting dicey given the FISA abuses.

Even claiming a so-called "watchdog group" is nonpartisan is evidence of its corruption and unmitigated attempt to deceive in this environment.

Nonpartisanship clearly does not exist in 2019, when investigations justified on Kremlin propaganda and then clearly-partisan impeachment is used to overturn an election: all promoted by a clearly partisan propaganda-press.

This is obviously timed impeachment propaganda before the Senate dismisses this. Facilitated by our "non-partisan" propaganda outlets who were apoplectic over Trump (openly biased against him) even before he was elected . Its timing isn't even "non-partisan", let alone anything else about it.

The Democrat Vice President's son was participating in graft that is clearly tied to Ukraine's aid, per his father's Ukraine involvement during the Obama Presidency.

That graft, and the aid it is connected to, are every bit the purview of the current administration; and therefore they had every right to withhold it contingent on an investigation into Biden's corruption.

This impeachment is about two things:

1. Protecting democrat political and financial corruption avenues

2. Overturning the 2016 election results.

The Democrats are a lost cause, the nation sees it, and the worst part of all of this is that everyone knows that the Press and the progressives are now hopelessly corrupt. Which, specifically, is a terminal result for this nation's system and social fabric.

When everyone knows that everyone knows that what is on television (the news) and in the House is corrupt, the system is done.

For Pete's sake, the democrats are the party that rigged their own primary in 2016 and everyone knows it.

If that doesn't tell you that what I'm saying is correct, then you are a lost cause and politically irrelevant as well.

Are you referring to Joe Biden when he threatened to withhold 6 billion dollars in aid to Ukraine until they fired the Ukrainian official who was investigating Hunter Biden?

Wild accusations that have been proven, that continue to have evidence surface to support them, that have been reviewed by the GAO, and a crystal clear explanation of WHY it was illegal has now been given for all those who have ignored, or refused to believe the exact same explanation all along?

How on GOD's GREEN EARTH can you still sit there and act like there is no merit to these charges? How many people have come out and said point blank that POTUS knew, and was lying, and you guys still act like there is nothing but an unfounded accusation.

Whether he did it with intent, or due to his ignorance of the law, it is CRYSTAL CLEAR he broke the law.

The constitution does not say "high" misdemeanor. It says "high crimes and misdemeanors."

The aid was actually withheld. The deadline is irrelevant, it was deliberately held up. That was illegal.
