Nondifference than what Presidents Jackson and Lincoln faced.
Yes I've seen that. I saw it when it first started happening. To me it's tantamount to treasonous behavior. But it's also completely irrelevant to my point, which has to do with potential abuse of power. Confirmation bias at work, I suppose.

If someone crosses the border illegally, they have committed a crime. No one disputes this.

However, it has nothing to do with whether local governments have any obligation or authority to do anything about it.

Well, if said lack of funds ends up killing or hurting people due to lack of resources to fight this pandemic...and associated things, Trump will once again be responsible for the suffering of more Americans.

He can add that to the stock market, the 7+ million who lost their health care and his many other "accomplishments".

At some point or another many of the "giving" states will sue the Federal Government and I suppose they might actually win in the SCOTUS. It would seem difficult for the SCOTUS to say that people should pay vast amounts of excess taxation into the Federal Government and then have excuses used as to why they won't see the benefits from their own money.

No, you just are 180 degrees off on where the emphasis of the President's action ought to be. The same things were said about the aforementioned President's Jackson and Lincoln. Picking on 'certain' cities. Ridiculous.

A - Have to start somewhere

B - the most egregious violator(s) gets made an example of, thus discouraging like behavior.

"Policy disagreements"? Really? These "sanctuaries" are ignoring detainer requests put out for criminal illegal aliens. In the state of Washington alone, three illegals who had ICE detainers on them were released instead, and all three went on to commit murder. One of those jails also released a rapist and a child rapist, while in Oregon one ignored detainer resulted in another murder, another one on a convicted dog rapist. https://www.ice.gov/news/releases/co...rvey-target-id

An illegal in San Francisco had, in an 11 month period, 10 detainer requests ignored after 10 arrests for at least six robberies and the theft of at least 16 cars, and other crimes. This list is from California in the first quarter of 2018. Another ignored detainer turned murderer, assaults, wife beaters, lots of DUI's all the types Pelosi would invite to the State Of The Union.

You'll probably hear "crickets" on the above who calls it mere policy disagreements.

So illegals are above the law. Glad we got that straight.

So, cops have no authority to enforce something that is illegal (that is on a federal level, but not on a local level). Holy crap folks...you cannot make this crap up.....

Pathetic.

If they lose an election they sue... or they keep doing recounts till the D gets the win like in 2004.

I'm not even sure what to do with my mail in ballot. If I check the (R) that is on the outside of the envelope is my Democratic postman going to throw my ballot into the garbage?
Don't stand for it. Move to a nice red state like Idaho. We have too many people moving to Seattle and we can't handle the traffic. It's a win win for everyone. Better to give your tax money to Idaho than give it to Seattle so it can be handed over to 33 counties because they are too small to pay for their own infrastructure.

This sounds like baseless scaremongering one might have been fooled into believing after poisoning their brain with too much Rush Limbaugh or Tucker Carlson.

Incidentally, illegal immigrants present in the US commit crimes at a far lower rate than Americans.
That's BS. There are plenty of stories out there of sheriffs who are refusing to turn in/deport violent illegal criminals and are loosing them back out among the public.

Note how the poster acts like we can't think for ourselves and that we just must be listening to right wing TV hosts? Well then the same thing could be said of these leftists who listen to all the left wingers who act like sanctuary cities and illegal aliens are ok.
