absolutely

Plus, there are domestic enemies and foreign enemies.

The people who are carelessly spreading the virus = domestic enemies and we should treat them this way.

There are quite a number of people that think this is all manufactured to keep Biden from getting elected.

How can you even reply to people who think in those lines ?

After you. And then after all of the people who are minimizing this because it's making the president looks bad. We don't need you spreading your disinformation during this crisis.

Trump seems to have focused exclusively on trying everything to keep the stock market from tanking....largely because he sees that it has been the only thing that GOP point to when they say they still support him.

No stock market gains - no more GOP support.

Trump also knows that if he loses this coming election he is more than likely going to have to face the music of crimes that are not beyond the statute of limitations.

Hence...

again I am concerned that Trump might delay federal elections.

Somebody has to tell Trump to stop talking. Let the others do the talking...take a back seat ....
Scaramucci made the same point this morning. Trump needs to stop talking and tweeting.

Pence and Co seem to be doing the best they can with the hand they have been dealt, which includes trying to manage Trump’s inconsistent messaging.

This is not a "declare martial law" kind of situation, it simply isn't. If you give in to authoritarian BS, you don't get your freedom back afterwards without significant bloodshed. Let's not argue for making Trump a dictator simply because people will die in this pandemic.

There are many going to bars laughing about the Coronavirus. If they get it, they spread it! Too many are not intelligent enough to comply.

“I’ve never waited in lines this long,” Natalia Asimakis, 23, a Michigan State University student said on Saturday as she stood shoulder-to-shoulder in a line of at least 50 to get into Harper’s bar steps from campus.

College students weren’t the only ones flouting officials’ warnings to avoid large gatherings. Across the state, revelers celebrating St. Patrick’s Day early filed into bars — and even those complying with the 250-person limit set this week by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer often made for close quarters, depending on the size of the venue.

Martial law can only be implemented in the US by congress. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martial_law#United_States

You can take extreme measures to prevent spread like they did in Wuhan or you can have a situation like they have in Italy where people are being refused medical treatment with the knowledge that they will die without it. You have to choose one or the other.

It isn't a question of ideology because covid-19 doesn't care whether or not you call it a Nazi.

Trump assured Americans at that February 26 news conference that the number of people infected in the United States is "going very substantially down, not up." .... "the 15, within a couple of days, is going to be down to close to zero."
