And he's right. Give him what he is asking for because we are the test for the rest of the country now and when NY gets it right the rest of the country will follow suit. Why isn't Trump not enacting "The War Production Act"? Do the Republicans still resent FDR that much? His policies can once again dig this nation out of a hole.
Quote:
In the wake of Pearl Harbor, the president set staggering goals for the nation’s factories: 60,000 aircraft in 1942 and 125,000 in 1943; 120,000 tanks in the same time period and 55,000 antiaircraft guns. In an attempt to coordinate government war agencies Roosevelt created the War Production Board in 1942 and later in 1943 the Office of War Mobilization. To raise money for defense, the government relied on a number of techniques — calling on the American people to ration certain commodities, generating more tax revenue by lowering the personal exemption and selling government war bonds to individuals and financial institutions. All of these methods served to provide the government with revenue and at the same time keep inflation under control.

Sadly, you cannot count on voluntary action from most companies. Lame leadership and greedy inaction is killing people!

Give NY the supplies and when the other parts of the nation needs them down the road Cuomo will ship them out along with medical staff. Common sense folks. And that would also be called patriotism!

Default Thank You Gov Andrew Cuomo

I have been watching the daily briefings by NY Governor Andrew Cuomo. They have been extremely helpful in this crisis. The scope of the virus and the obstacles to combating it have been presented to the public in a straight forward no nonsense truthful manner. Cuomo has full command of the facts and delivers them while also offering hope. He has been the leader that was needed in this time of crisis.

Cuomo has showed what a real leader looks like.

I live half a mile from the original containment zone in Westchester. He reacted with lightning speed and saved thousands of lives because of it. We've been on lockdown for weeks now.
Every single one of us will be eternally grateful for his swift action and in mobilizing beds and masks and equipment to get ahead of this thing. He has been phenomenal.

His state is the most out of control.... yet people praise him for his authoritarian strong man shtick.

Insanity.

Cuomo needs to shutdown NY airports and roads to stop the export of the virus all over the country. Follow the Chinese example.

I don't believe the Governor even has the power to do that. That is Federal territory.
