A new law was passed saying that people who take ADHD meds have to visit a doctor every 3 months to get their meds.

Why does the healthcare system make people jump through hoops to get the stuff they need?

My mom says my insurance might not cover all the doctor visits, so we might have to pay for my meds out of pocket.

The American healthcare system is a joke.

The "healthcare" system is actually an "illness maintenance" system.

{shrug} Some folks have to go every month to get scrips renewed. I have to go every 6 months for mine. All systems have restrictions on some meds.

Grow up.

Try magnesium glysinate. Cheaper, no scrip needed

Of course our healthcare system sucks. It was never meant to handle millions of diverse people. This is why many of our leaders and prospective leaders have been banging on about catching up with the rest of the modern world on healthcare.

Politics seem to have gotten in the way of providing healthcare, though, here in the US, so any change will be hard fought.

Grow up? So, I'm just supposed to shut up and deal with a terrible system?
