The US Constitution guarantees the right of religion and right of assembly. He is free to worship if he desires, but the govt apparently thinks they can take rights away when it is convenient, which they do and have done for a long time, even back to the civil war. My guess is that he takes the Bible seriously which says, "We must obey God rather than men."
Our church is broadcasting worship. Maybe he should consider it.
It’s the opposite actually.
Romans 13:1-2 says: "Obey the government, for God is the One who has put it there. There is no government anywhere that God has not placed in power. So those who refuse to obey the law of the land are refusing to obey God, and punishment will follow."
This "pastor", Rodney Howard-Browne told his flock that God will make their rolls of toilet paper multiply, just as Jesus did with the loaves and the fishes:
Hah! That's hilarious - if I'd known my existing toilet paper rolls were going to "have families" I wouldn't be bothering to find more rolls all over town! Maybe I haven't provided the rolls I have with the proper setting? I'll have to move them from the bathroom closet to the spare bedroom and turn the lights down low to encourage them to multiply.
I honestly don't care who pays. Hell, I would happily help pay for it if it would truly happen. Florida is a cancerous tumor to the US.
It's not the natives-- its all the dam transplants made FL a mess - right now they are finally checking borders for travelers from the north running from the virus in their states. STAY HOME!
Anytime a government body place their boot on your throat for exercising your GOD given rights....Tyranny is abound.
I see this going to the Supreme Courts, with a YUGE payday for the pastor.
This is not China, the old USSR, or Cuba. This is the USA, where people are free from government oppression, with the right to withdraw consent at any moment.

Interesting to note that some of the more prominent religious leaders ignoring the social distancing orders have ties to President Trump. Pastor Rodney Howard-Browne at this Florida church and Jerry Falwell Jr in Virginia (Liberty University) both refuse to follow directives. Howard-Browne has been in the Oval office to pray with Trump and Falwell is very close to the president. One would think that Trump could easily use his influence and ties with these men to do the right thing.
