This current pandemic has many young people posting on online forums like this one , that old people should not be given preferential treatment, but instead treat the young.
Others, and one on this site, states medicare, and ss will save billions if the old people die of this virus.
Where did all this hatred of old people come from?
Do they not realize one day they will be old.
Do they not realize that it was these older people that once gave them life, and in many cases a very good life?

Where does all this hatred of old people come from?

Beats me. I've learned far and away that older folks have far more to teach me.

Because young people, as well as most democrats and republicans are selfish. Me, me, me, and kick the cam down the road.

It's natural. Never trust anyone over 30.... I'm 67.

I don't hate older people.

And it's not really younger people you should worry about when it comes to suggest old people should be left to die from the pandemic:

I sometimes just call out older people when they seem keen on s*ing on younger generations.

Those young people don't have any elderly parents or grandparents?

I don't get their logic.

Have you noticed though, which side wants to let older people die just to save the economy?

I certainly don't hate old people nor have I said they shouldn't be given preferential treatment in medical settings if their symptoms are more serious.

My main message has been that people need to take more personal responsibility for their health so they are not vulnerable to diseases like this. I actually think that point is more relevant to younger people since old age presents some unavoidable increased vulnerability to disease as it is.

It's the other way around. Older people hate the youth.
