I agree to an extent, at least on here they call them whiners, snowflakes and what not. I hope all young and old alike recover from this terrible plague - but I pray even more it unite us and NOT divide us even more.

No respect and selfishness...most other cultures (ASIA, etc) the elderly are the most respected.

Its true! but I think our elders do not always put family and community first-- left face it... they already practice the self distancing culturally.

Where did the hate come from? I think there's always been a certain amount of disdain by most young people for most old people, but they tend to make an exception for grandma and grandpa.

Well, there’s a lot of angst about climate change, destruction of the middle class, loss of pensions, loss of manufacturing, incredible debt levels, etc heaped onto the baby boomers for just kicking those cans down the road and being selfish.
