Err no. It isn't just because someone else might get sick. You could get sick yourself and need to be hospitalized. It is understand how the disease is spread and if you can control the spread you can reduce the number of people who get it(esp. at once). It is kind of hard to sue about your rights when you are stuck in the hospital or in the grave. In addition there is a whole range of recoveries between life and death. Pneumonia can leave you with permanent lung damage and a long term fever isn't good for the body either.

Here is the thing the less you are around or near other people the lower the chance you will get it. People who don't get the illness can not spread the illness. This is how social distancing works to control the spread. Controlling the spread also helps EVERYONE because there is only so much capacity in the hospitals. An hospital that is overwhelmed, lacking supplies and full of infectious people isn't anywhere where you would like to be after a car crash. Nor do you want to go to an Nursing home for rehabilitation afterwards to be cared for by asymptomatic staff.

Lowering the number of people in the hospital who have it is in everyone's best interest as well as the number of people carrying it.

Ive been talking some people on Facebook from MI, they go on and on about how unconstitutional these restrictions are...but then I ask them..."if they are unconstitutional...why are you complying with them then?!!" LOL

Ridiculous, they are complaining about 'unconstitutional rules'...but they are obedient and compliant to them all!!

Seems to me, like what they want is 'someone else to do something about it'! LOL

Seems to bother you that I called Michigan “up there”. It is 700 miles north, yes it is up there from my geography. Yes Michigan is stricter than most states. You cannot even cut grass or take a motor boat out on the lake without the governess poking her nose in your business. Your civil liberties are under attack. That is something you should be worried about.

She didn't call all of you deplorables -- she said a 'basket' of deplorables. ....and she's right.

And you know what -- yup --- Trump critics also has a basket of deplorables.

Not me -- but there are deplorables.

Silly -- you still can cut your grass in Michigan --- you can't believe the propaganda being fed to you by some extreme right wing group thinking this is a good time to push their agenda.

Leave it to our Great Divider to turn a world wide pandemic into a political football pitting Rs and Ds against each other, citizens against each other, with his 'liberate' message when most of us are trying our best to get along and do what is necessary to save lives.

Gov Whitmer; A dictator run amuck

20 pages of posts containing a whole lot of venom, insults and condescension by folks who probably never heard of Governor Whitmer, would be hard pressed to identify Michigan's capital and certainly not know to put the two together, before the President of the United States of America told them to attack and demean and destroy a Democratic leader.

This is disgustingly and shamefully transparent. I bet those who have decided to hate her with their phony outrage, along with those Trump incited protesters, don't even realize the restrictions they are "rebelling against" match the Trump administration’s own social-distancing recommendations.

Then they are going to deny with a straight face that Trump has not weaponized and politicized this public health and national security crisis. We have a POTUS who is too concerned about keeping his job that he doesn't do his job. Even worse he is a danger to America, to her people and to the world.

None of which has anything to do with and/or is a reason to take away rights.

That woman is just plain evil. But the real question is how did she get elected with that accent?

I find it very odd that a president is asking people to protest against his own policies, did he agree to the CDC guidelines or not. Instead of uniting the country he is dividing.
