Trump will take it from there.

But they wouldn't listen.

Wise and (sadly) prophetic words from Goldwater. And whether you like him or not he was a real conservative. Not like the bible thumper Trumper humper Republicans of today.

Yes. And the Ayn Rand “free market” fundamentalism isn’t helping either. Do we really want for-profit prisons? How is our for-profit healthcare system working out?

It's all working out real well for the politically connected Pub cronies getting the prison contracts and the healthcare CEOs who run big pharma and the hospitals/clinics.

The American public?

We're gettin' screwed six ways from Sunday.

Trumplings feel good about it.

Ayn Rand is often misunderstood these days. Trump and other Libertarian leaning politicians and businessmen may claim to be followers of Rand but Rand would have been appalled at what they think. Someone like Trump would be more like Gail Wynand than a Howard Roark or a John Galt, someone who had the ability to be magnanimous and great for the good of all but instead became selfish, petty and bullying. I sincerely doubt Rand would look to such individuals as heroes.
