This isn't about red states vs blue states. What happened to the United States of America. We really have lost our way. The United States desperately needs leadership to guide all the states to be on the same path to deal with this global pandemic. It's been 4 months and still no one really knows what's going on or how to exactly deal with this. Where has the guidance been. Now it just seems every state is on their own. So these governors have to take over because they have no choice. We can complain about red state, blue state governors but they are all doing the best they can. This is not every day politics for them.
Yes, it takes longer to spread to the more sparsely populated Red states. That's just the nature of an airborne-communicable virus. At least they've had more time to prepare and may benefit from lessons learned in said Blue states.
Really? You think?? First off these Blue States usually have a major airport, with international flights abroad to and from!
I live 6 hours from a major city on the west coast, so the numbers been high, it's a major airport that has many international flights into and out daily! So no shocker and doesn't have to do with ones party! That be like saying, all Red States folks are uneducated, marry their toothless siblings, beat their spouses and live in trailers! ...

Agree! What happen???? TRUMP.. UNSTABLE NON-GENIUS NARCISSIST KNOWN LIAR! ..." HE'S IMPOTUS FOR A REASON.
It's hit the northeast corridor hard, but California not so much. It's hit Louisiana hard, but the rest of the South not so much. It's hit Michigan pretty hard, but the rest of the midwest not so much.
Louisiana is mostly because of Mardi Gras and visitors bringing it here, though as much as I dislike the mayor of New Orleans and our liberal governor, based on the data it wasn't clear AT THE TIME that Mardi Gras should have been canceled. The irony is down here even Democrats have to care about the concerns about the business community and capitalism.
Areas with many immigrants are always going to be hit first and be hit hard given many people traveling home to the Third World. Areas with a lot of Third World immigrants both legal and illegal are at greatest risk. States like West Virginia and Idaho are the lowest risk because they have low density AND not many immigrants. Louisiana really doesn't have many immigrants but Mardi Gras made us an exception, without Mardi Gras we would probably be similar to Mississippi or Alabama.
New York City has MANY Chinese immigrants who travel back and forth from China. Milan, Italy by the way also has one of the largest Chinese immigrant populations in Europe many of whom are illegal and work low wage jobs in the textile mills making those famous Italian fashions.
Lefties were really into that "lick a toilet seat" challenge early into this thing. I think that's what really sent the number of cases soaring
