Crimes heaped upon a crime and all senseless.Target isn't the bad guy here, but if you must lash out in anger, at least go after the responsible party, the govt police dept
Why? One can react with scorn toward the rioters and looters while still being outraged about the egregious murder of a handcuffed, unresisting black man by four policemen. While the rioters are using the incident for their own stupid purposes, there are legitimate, nonviolent protestors too. The whole incident is a stain on the police force of Minneapolis and I sincerely hope the perpetrators are dealt with severely and swiftly in a court of law.

Hopefully more swiftly than they did with Mohammed Noor.
I appreciate law enforcement, a lot, but this particular story is very sad. Can't we attract more intelligent people into the trade? Might bump up taxes a few mills, but it would be money well spent.
They won't hire more intelligent people for law enforcement. That's why we get horrendous episodes like this. Should LEO Chauvin have known that he was using deadly force on an unarmed and already handcuffed man in this case? Yes. Was he actually cognitively aware of that? Sadly, and very likely, no.
Martial law, a curfew, and live rounds are what is needed.
