Because he was treated like an animal (actually worse). It may have even only been subconsciously, as Floyd fit the exact stereotype of a "big black guy." I just can't see the officer doing that to a white guy or anyone else. I think racism gets overblown a lot, but I do think in this case it was at play. I think it was likely more subconsciously at play though.
Listen, if anyone is thinking of protesting this over the weekend I need a 60" TV and the latest iphone if you just happen to be looting a store.
Top dollar paid.
They're out of those. How about some auto parts? No floor jack's or batteries---too heavy to run with.
Well, they have not bothered to arrest any of the officers yet, that is not helping. It's one thing to investigate and take your time, but to arrest you need a probable reason to suspect a crime took place. If that video was not enough then I have no idea what is.
“That video is graphic and horrific and terrible and no person should do that. But my job in the end is to prove that he violated a criminal statute, and there's other evidence that does not support a criminal charge"
Please let us know what justification there is for sitting on the neck of a handcuffed man for 7 minutes? What police academy in Minnesota teaches that technique?
The mayor needs to get that Omar chick to keep things going until there's nothing left to burn. Dem politicians got their hands full there. Minneapolis won't have any tax base for years. No more sympathy from America. WOW!
These riots unfortunately make many less sympathetic to their cause. Hispanics face almost as much police brutality as do blacks and you don't see this type of reaction from them. Twenty million whites live in poverty and many whites are unjustly killed by cops but you don't see this type of reaction.
I'm sorry but even those of us who try to make things better for those in these poor communities and sympathize with them have to shake our heads when we realize they are destroying themselves from within.
This is a culimination of decades of leftist identity politics and victim mentality pushed on the black community. They can't help it...they've been brainwashed to react this way.

Places third world people go start looking like the third world. It’s not a coincidence.
What's got me upset is that MLK III is tweeting his father's comment about a riot is the language of the unheard but is not putting it into the context his father actually said it. He acts like MLK would condone this and he would not. It's hard to see this sentence being put out there and others will believe it to be a vindication of what they have done and it's not.
