Not in Florida but heck its just workers right,,, what do those Owners care... no more than DiSAntis-

Farmworkers are dying, COVID-19 cases are spiking, and the food system is in peril

Alfie Oakes, the founder and CEO of Oakes Farm, claimed in March that COVID-19 was "the largest government and media hoax in history" and posted on Facebook that "the people that have propagated this hoax should get the death penalty for their reckless behavior." In April, Oakes Farm Vice President Steve Veneziano called COVID-19 "absolutely nothing" and said coverage of the pandemic by the media was "an attack on this country."

SF Bay Area news rhetoric was running stories about how law enforcement wasn't all wearing face masks and social distancing one another in police lines while dealing with protestors/rioters, so now we will have another coronavirus outbreak soon.

My gas also kills the coronavirus . Face masks and facial coverings can't keep my gas out.

It was not an issue during the protest and riots. With the news today that several National Guard members that were deployed to protect the citizens have tested positive for COVID-19, I suspect that it will resurface quickly.

Governor DeSantis wisely extended mandatory 14-day quarantines for visitors from the Tri-State area (NY, NJ, and Conn). It appears that he is concerned about seeding events.

Maybe they got it from the 40% who were symptomatic.

I have no need to ask DeSantis about unemployment checks. But I am ECSTATIC about the beaches reopening! Aside from the job offer, the Emerald Coast was one of our primary reasons for moving here. We have been to the beach at least once a week since reopening. I've never had a better tan!

Thankfully, Governor DeSantis is taking steps to mitigate COVID-19 seeding by limiting access to our resources from areas that recklessly disregarded social distancing guidelines.

I was in full agreement with the various states reopening the economies once the curve had 'flattened'. The problem is that many people seemed to think that the virus crisis was 'over'. Of course, it is not, and will not be for quite a while.

Much depended on the people of each state taking proper precautions. It was sad seeing the news about how people flocked to bars and such, no masks, no social distancing, no nothing. Obviously, it is distressing to witness the millions around world gathering in large groups to demonstrate. Even wearing masks will not halt the spread.

As noted by another poster, Arizona is keeping an eye on their hospital bed capacity as new cases of COVID 19 increase, with a warning that if capacity is reaching, a new shut down may be in order.

Here in Texas, two separate articles are instructive:

First, from April 17th:

https://www.texastribune.org/2020/04...y-coronavirus/

Quick summary: officials were pleased that Texas had an overabundance of hospital beds, fully justifying reopening of the economy (which, again, I agreed with; you simply can't keep the economy shut down).

Now, from today, June 9th:

https://www.houstonchronicle.com/new...e-15327664.php

Summary, hospitalizations up 36 percent since Memorial Day.

Still, plenty of beds available, although the number of ICU beds is decreasing.

The mass demonstrations are now two weeks old, so a new spike will arise, unrelated to the 'reopening' spikes.

Of course, I realize that a few months from now, many will ignore the spike caused by the re-openings (or, rather, by people not using common sense), and will gleefully point to the demonstrations as being the sole reason for the rise in cases.

Governor Abbot of Texas may have to consider another shut-down in a month or two. Of course, his antics with that Spa owner in Dallas has ruined any cooperation by businesses. The blonde woman complained about her business being closed; she reopened on her own, and Governor Abbott said "never mind my emergency rules".

It will be a long hot summer. The virus is not magically going away. It cares not that the weather is hot (it is hotter than blazes here in Texas, yet we keep having 1,400 average cases per day in the past week).
