People keep re-electing them. Some out of duty as if this is what we've been doing for centuries and its a tradition, and they don't think for themselves.. they just act like a robot.
Because the Republicans screw up everything they get their fingers on. Just look at the current mess in the White House and Senate, both GOP controlled. When we had a Democrat in the WH, things were prosperous and peaceful, and then along came Trump !!!

California has the 5th largest economy in the world, and at the same time... one of the highest poverty rates in the US. WHY income inequity on such a massive scale in a blue state that can easily afford much better income equity?
Why isn't it empirical in cities in Canada, Australia, and anywhere in Europe, countries far more liberal than the US?
Why are there riots in US cities, but not in very liberal cities of other countries?
Why is there constant drama in the US, but not in other far more liberal countries? Why?
Because America is stupid generous. We fund NATO and all of those organizations far more than anyone. We stupidly pay for illegals' stuff so it incentives them to come here. We are suckers.

It doesn't matter how strong the left's ideology is, they still cannot undo basic human biology.
Even white liberals prefer to live & congregate around other whites, no matter how much they claim to love "diversity".
They think if they cut a check, they are good. The only thing is, they are giving away MY money, often not theirs.
-They import democratic voters through sanctuary city actions drawing in more illegals criminals and homeless who in turn vote "blue".
-Change voting to absentee and/or by mail so it can be manipulated...."oh look it's a close election, we just found a couple more big boxes of ballots and what a surprise they are all voting democrat!".
-Implementing handout policy with perpetually increasing funding for free everything to perpetually keep their base growing, then their financially insolvent and have their hands out for more federal bailout money (look at California with half of it's current financial deficit due to spending on illegal alien entitlements).
