Each State governs themselves according to the Constitution.
Nothing in the ?Constitution says the President MUST save the voters from the Leftist Democrats they freely voted to rule them.

An "exercise in trust" - what a joke. If they truly trusted the protestors they wouldn't have boarded up, barricaded, and put fire retardants around their precinct as they left.
We have riots in all 50 States, so is a national problem, and all the president does is sit back and points fingers. We need a new president. It is as simple as that. Shifting blame and avoiding responsibility maybe enough for you, but its not enough for most Americans.
That's how a federalist government system works. Local and State is in charge of maintaining peace and the order of law in their own jurisdictions. Will you support Trump if he calls up the military to quell the riots?
Democrats threw a fit when he wanted to do it for just the District of Columbia.
Will governors start calling up more National Guard or do they not want to anger the potential rioters, arsonists, looters, murderers, and blue voters?
The obvious take-away from this brief conversation is that Trump voters have zero expectation from their leader. He is expected to do nothing unless a foreign army attacks us, and even then the military would take over immediately.
So, he is not expected to do anything, but they worship him anyway........
