Do officials want them out? Or will they cave and give them their "space"?

Easiest way to get them out is to turn off all utilities now and block all transport in and out.

Simple really.

I mean, the police still used tear gas and flash grenades on peaceful protesters even after a city-wide ban, you can't blame the citizens for being upset.

From what I read it's been a peaceful sit in at city hall by protesters.

Seattle should do away with its police department, as a goodwill gesture, of course, and the gang situation will take care of itself. Plus, no more police brutality, or social injustice, and no more false arrests, or jailing good people.
