Democrats are trying to break up unions?

I think I woke up on a different planet this morning.

That's the GOP doing that.

The GOP isn't "defunding the police" or "replacing" them with community social service agents. That's the protestors and the Dem elected officials trying to break the police union, honey.

Nobody will put their union affiliation before their personal safety, how silly.

Are you saying one's personal safety is dependent upon breaking the police union?

It's not likely to go down in as simple a manner as described in the OP. The "world on eighteen wheels: is as diverse as North American society itself -- and united (to some degree) by its own culture. Those of us who were around for the Citizens band radio-fueled highway blockades of the mid-1970's can easily understand this.

The American supply chain has remained largely undisturbed and functional over the past three months due largely to the independent spirit of those in the control of "eighteen wheels under fourteen tons", and a lot of them are far more savvy and articulate than the stereotype promoted by effete liberals and their sheltered clientele.

Truck Drivers say they won't deliver to cities with defunded PD's
I am sure their competition is happy to hear that.

Why would that change? Insurance companies weasel out of paying claims if rioting or civil unrest is involved anyway.

Really?

What does filling the power vacuum look like, then, absent the specific power that enforces the municipal, State, and Federal laws?

Usually it is one of various mafias that performs that function. Most places have difficulty controlling mafias when there are Police.

Abolishing the Police is just another way of stating "we don't like the current law, and we want a new set of laws that are created and enforced by someone else".

In this way, the lowest tier of society and extremist-libertarians have a lot in common.

You aren't abolishing the State to gain freedom. You are abolishing the State to create another one.

And this is nowhere near to a majority vote. This is a scam by a powerful mafia who dislikes the current power structure.

In that way, your "defunding Police" is already evidence of uncontrolled mafia power against the United States government and against the Will of most people of most people in this country.

More evidence of uncontrolled mafia power to come.

Subordinate? LOL. You used the wrong big word. First time?

Tourists aren't coming either, other than the homeless. Are you going to fire them as well, professor?
