Perhaps-but they hired on to drive trucks in America, not Mogadishu. Why should they put their lives on the line? Maybe have a depot at the county line, drop off there-if anyone can get past the gangs and criminals they can go there to buy their stuff.

I'm a ex trucker. Retired, now.

I think it's a moot point. Cities without a police department and an ever presence of rioters aren't going to be shipping and receiving, anyway. I just went where the dispatcher asked me to go. I did turn down one load to Boston on Thanksgiving; they jsut gave it to someone else.

The very first article on the link says "Plantation Joe Biden". Obviously a very biased media site. Fake news. So sad.

The Gellerreport is a fake news factory. They even tried to sell the idea that Obama was Malcolm X love child. They are always making stuff up.

So you hate our resources and we hate yours. So why do we even bother try to talk?

You hate my resources...... No clue what that even means, but your story is fake news, and I thought I'd point it out.

I don’t agree with this. As someone who supports worker’s rights, I don’t agree that someone should be fired if they feel that their safety is at risk, especially beyond the typical safety hazards one would expect from the job. I would rather see employers provide incentives to deliver to these areas and work on outreach to get drivers willing to deliver to these areas.

As someone who is on the liberal side, I can’t not defend the worker’s right to safety in this situation. I felt the same way during COVID, and I’m sure you probably did as well. If someone is expected to take on extra risk beyond the typical purview of their job, then they should get extra pay or other incentives to take on that risk.

I can agree that there is a lot of confusion and ambiguity behind the term “defunding the police”. You can’t claim to stand with workers and then blatantly shrug them off when they feel that their safety is in danger in very unusual circumstances.

"These areas" don't exist. There aren't any cities in US which do not have law enforcement.
