I can’t believe I have to say this. There are terrible people in every community. I don’t know why some would think this would be endorsed by the black community at large. I don’t know any black person that would endorse this kind of behavior. It is highly possible that this was a hate crime based solely on race by a despicable, hateful person. Is it too much to ask that posters here don’t lump all black people together and think that they would endorse this kind of behavior?
I wouldn’t lump all black people in with this savage, but all you have to do is google “knockout game” if you’d like a little education on the subject.

I've already seen the preposterous and twisted interpretations put forward by the President and his followers to justify the attack by police, so I have no illusions that they will admit any parallels. I don't really think the attack by this teen was justified either of course, but if we're going to cheer a big herd of armed cops assaulting a peaceful 75yo man, then we might as well cheer an unarmed teen assaulting a peaceful 94yo woman.

The fact that you are not APPALLED that this black teen knocked down a 92-year-old white woman for no reason whatsoever is part of the problem. It’s like the knock-out game all over again. Would your reaction be the same if a white teen knocked down a 90-year-old black man? It would be plastered all over the news.
Edited to add: I just discovered the douchebag is not a teen after all. He’s a 31-year-old man, and has done this before. The mayor of NY keeps putting him back on the street instead of jail because his sympathies lie more with thugs than with innocent, vulnerable citizens.
