I can think of a lot of accomplishments - but none of them are positive.

Default He managed to stay alive...

He managed to stay alive...Mostly because he didn't go hunting with Cheney...Smart move...Let's give him credit there.

Oh!...No one caught him drunk, or with another woman...He seems to dress nice.

The country is falling apart around him...And, so far it seems his legacy will be the National Prayer Day....Good move!...We'll need it.

Though, when he said that every day should be a National Prayer Day...Why didn't he tell us that 8 years ago?...Maybe we could have gotten a head start on him.

But, joking aside...I hope that something good comes out of this Middle East disaster (Iraq and Afganistan)...I hope history does prove him right.

Yeah, forgot about that

Trying to push that social misfit, Miers, to appease the radical anti-abortion crowd under the radar sucked though .

Just off the top of my head and not following the lemmings. . . .

- Booming economy throughout most of his term -- in fact all of it until the dems regained control of congress ;-)

- Took the fight to al-Qaeda and severely curtailed their operations against the US - no recent planes into buildings killing 3,000 or bombs into ships killing dozens, embassies bombed throughout the planet killing hundreds with token replies.

- Pulled together a coalition of 60 countries to remove a brutal dictator from Iraq that had killed 100,000 of his own women and children, offered comfort to bin Laden, sent an assassin team to kill a US president, and was developing WMDs.

- Appeared to have finally halted North Korea's nuclear weapons program - perhaps the greatest threat to millions. Ended the token US effort with real results.

- Kept international pressure on Iran to halt their nuclear weapons programs.

- Pursued elements of al-Qaeda throughout the globe.

- Restored America's pride and strength - enabled French and Italian presidents to be elected on a pro-US platform.

- Bi-partisan effort to improve education with the passage of the no child left behind act.

- Proposed to expand SCHIP to cover needy families and children only to have Pelosi and the dems refuse to vote on it for political gamesmanship.

BUSH WASTED OVER 3 TRILLION IN IRAQ - AND YOU TRY AND BLAME IT ON THE DEMS?

- Took the fight to al-Qaeda and severely curtailed their operations against the US - no recent planes into buildings killing 3,000 or bombs into ships killing dozens, embassies bombed throughout the planet killing hundreds with token replies.
THERE WERE NO AL-QAEDA IN IRAQ BEFORE BUSH INVADED, AND HIS INCOMPETANCE ALLOWED 9-11 TO HAPPEN

- Pulled together a coalition of 60 countries to remove a brutal dictator from Iraq that had killed 100,000 of his own women and children, offered comfort to bin Laden, sent an assassin team to kill a US president, and was developing WMDs.
REGAN AND BUSH SR SOLD MOST OF THE WMD TO SADDAM, AND ENCOURAGED HIM TO USE THEM

- Appeared to have finally halted North Korea's nuclear weapons program - perhaps the greatest threat to millions. Ended the token US effort with real results.
NORTH KOREA HALTED IT ONLY AFTER BUSH GAVE THEM AID

- Kept international pressure on Iran to halt their nuclear weapons programs.
BUSH HASN'T STOPPED THEM, AND REFUSES DIALOG WITH IRAN

- Pursued elements of al-Qaeda throughout the globe.
AL QAEDA HAS GOTTEN STRONGER DUE TO THE ILLEGAL INVASION OF IRAQ

- Restored America's pride and strength - enabled French and Italian presidents to be elected on a pro-US platform.
MOST OF THE COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD USED TO HOLD AMERICA IN HIGH ESTEEM, NOW THEY MOSTLY HATE US BECAUSE OF BUSH'S ARROGANCE AND UTTER STUPIDITY

- Bi-partisan effort to improve education with the passage of the no child left behind act.
NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND IS A TOTAL FAILURE

- Proposed to expand SCHIP to cover needy families and children only to have Pelosi and the dems refuse to vote on it for political gamesmanship.
BUSH HAS CUT AID TO THE ELDERLY AND MOST NEEDY, AND GIVEN THAT MONEY TO LARGE PHAMACEUTICAL COMPANIES

Here’s one you may have missed….BUSH cancels the Kyoto Protocol, claiming there’s no such thing as global warming — PUTTING THE ENTIRE PLANET IN JEPARDY!

Actually, I was going to reply to that effect, but the thread wasn't meant as a bash Bush moment. Every once in a while an irrelevant yes man like Bush needs to be seen as having done at least a couple of good things.

But enabling the Fed to create a Ponzi scheme out of real estate has to top them all for the negs.

The only thing he did I liked was the No Child Left Behind Act. Yes it could be improved but it is 100% better than what we had before. Everything else he has done has been a disaster.
