The abortion opposition comes from man, not the bible. Religious leaders wanting to see their flock and influence grow through breeding.

The bible says life begins at first breath(Genesis 2:7) and the only mention of abortion is how to get one at the temple if you think your woman is cheating(Numbers 5:11-31). And Exodus 21:22 identifies that if someone causes a miscarriage they are subject to a mere fine rather than the penalty for taking a life.
