It is nothing new.
Like those wanting to rid the shelves of books written by Mark Twain and Joel Chandler Harris, as examples of book canceling?

Shows how people can really get in a one-sided bubble. I think I can be guilty of that as well.

This ex atheist lays the cannibalistic nature of these people out succinctly in this video.

Both left and right are giving me every reason to hate everything about this world and the people in it. I’m more than willing to leave you all in your political bickering. There’s really no other reason for either side to speak to each other, not even in passing anymore. I get why Russians behave the way they do. High intellect eventually causes cold, calculating, robotic behavior and the defense for cheering on wealth and violence.

Nobody cares. If the people who don’t care, don’t want your books, don’t want your culture, your government can erase them from existence as it feels necessary. More books for you.

2018-2019 Pew research showed that just 4% of Americans are atheists. Even if every single atheist was a liberal (which they are not) the math doesn't add up.

The list of books is long and tedious -- and not just Mark Twain.

In the southeast suburbs-- more often the books being challenged were from conservative paretns.

EVEN in libraries where the media specialist were conservatives themselves. They didn't support book banning at all and had to pursuade those parents not to challenge the books.

Most Trump supporters don't believe in Hell or else they should be very worried. Well at least you'll all get to see all your friends in the afterlife.

I don't subscribe to either side. But I absolutely do believe in equal rights as an American principle. Standing up for that is not a matter of left/right. BLM does not say other lives do not matter. The women's marches did not mean men did not matter. The Civil Rights protests improved our country's freedom. There is still work to do, we do not live in utopia.
