Would they be homeschooling if their kids' schools hadn't been shut down? I doubt it. They'd keep sending their kids to a B&M school.
That has nothing to do with anything. They were never for or against it before. If their child got a role in a Broadway show, had cancer or decided to take the family on an around the world sailing trip they would be home schooling because that would work best for their circumstances.
Actually, it's the left electorate that wants their kids to return to B&M schools. Free babysitting, don't you know...
So now you think the exact opposite of what you first posted. Is that because we showed you the error of your dumb statement? Do we need to now debunk this next stupid comment of yours.

So why not just close B&M schools forever? That would save SALT taxpayers a LOT of money.
I've always supported homeschooling. It's the Dems/left who have suddenly changed their minds about it, and now think it's perfectly fine.
How do you know that they think it’s “perfectly fine?”
Have none in this cohort expressed concerns about how well their children will perform under these circumstances?
Does everyone feel exactly the same?
This thread is nothing more than a feeble attempt at “gotcha.”
The OP is purposely ignoring the elephant in the room and is trying to pretend that this coming school year is exactly the same as every other and that there couldn’t possibly be any mitigating factors that have forced, yes, FORCED, people to adjust to these new realities.
I wonder if it seemed like the question posed in the OP might be a clever argument.
It wasn’t.

Duh, because some people want B&M schools. There is a large percentage of homeless, poor families and parents that don't speak English that rely on pubic school. Essential workers have really been struggling with lack of traditional school because they can not be home and need to find a safe place for their children to be while they are at work.
Also, many, many many people send to private school where the costs far outweighs any savings from tax changes. NYC property taxes are low. This is a complicated topic that is for another thread.
I wouldn't know. I wasn't homeschooled, other than being a voracious reader and an autodidact. I learned the term when I was at university, studying in the STEM departments.
That's very impressive, lol.
So you should be able to understand that (7-day averages are as of yesterday):
Germany - about 4 new daily cases/million population
FL - 500+ new/million
TX - 300+ new/million
How do you know that they think it’s “perfectly fine?”
Their mayors are keeping their schools either partially or completely closed in the fall. The constituents are doing nothing to override those decisions.
